Warranty only includes valid and proper use of the lift.
If you use your 409 lift in any way it's not intended to be used in you'll void the warranty.
For instance, because the 409 has a maximum lifting capacity of four tons, you can't use it on heavier vehicles.
You can also not use it to lift your mother-in-law into the air to "show her your workshop's lighting" and then "forget" her there for a weekend. That might not void your warranty (unless your mother-in-law weighs more than four tons) but your wife might divorce you.
